
Actor and voice actor Köksal Engür, one of the beloved figures in the world of film and television, has passed away at the age of 77. Engur, who at the beginning of his career focused on theatrical studies, became widely known among the theater audience due to the many performances in which he took part. Engur, who appeared before the audience in films and serials in the subsequent period, received recognition from the general public. He became the favorite of millions, especially thanks to the role of “White-bearded Dede” in the television series “Layla ile Mecnun”. Köksal Engür was born in 1946 in Kars.
When he was only 10 years old, he took his first step into acting by taking part in short radio dramas on TRT’s Ankara Radio Children’s Hour.
In 1969 he graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Faculty of Theater.

Continuing to take part in various programs on TRT during these years, in the same period the artist began dubbing.
During his career as a successful artist, he has appeared on stage in many private theaters such as Ankara Community Center, Sahne 9, Ankara Trial Stage, Çağdaş Sahne, Hodri Meydan Theatre, Dormen Theater, Ali Poyrazoğlu Theater and Küçük Sahne.

In addition, he took part in productions by the Bakirkoy Municipal Theater and the State Opera and Ballet Theatre. Köksal Engür appeared before the public countless times in various theater companies.
Engure, who is shown as one of the masters of voice acting, breathed life into Budu’s character on Sesame Street.

In later years, he became the voice of world famous names such as Robert de Niro, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams.
Köksal Engür, who has worked in theater and dubbing for many years, has also acted in many films and television series throughout his career.

She had successful performances in television series such as Zerda, Room of the Deaf, Besh Kardesh and Liptan Kalbe.
