What will we see with Atomic Heart?

Atomic Heart is a first-person alternate reality game set in the first era of the Soviet era. The story takes place in an alternate reality in 1950s Russia, where the USSR ushered in a golden age of technology thanks to advanced robots powered by a neural network called the Collective and an energy source called the Polymer.

However, the sudden silence of the object called “Object 3826”, one of the research centers that developed these machines, and its disconnection from the outside world showed that all was not well in this technological paradise. Not wanting the updated version of The Collective to become an international release before it is published, the Soviet administration assigns Sergei Nechaev, a KGB veteran codenamed P-3, to investigate object 3826.

When our agent Sergei arrives at the site, he will find that all the robots here have become strangely feral and begin to conduct disgusting biological experiments on researchers. Sergei discovers that the perfect machines have turned people into mindless and disgusting creatures. Our assigned agent must destroy these failed scientific experiments, find the cause of this disaster and prevent it from becoming public.

What awaits us in terms of gameplay?

In Atomic Heart, a mysterious gameplay awaits us, where we will explore the destroyed objects, collect evidence in order to solve the problem that has flared up. In this world of mechanical and biological threats, we will try to overcome it using various weapons. The game will also feature a crafting system where you can create temporary weapons using materials from the environment and upgrade them to suit your play style.

In addition to weapons and close combat, our agent Sergei also has special equipment that makes some special things possible. Nechaev will have a special “Polymer” glove that allows him to use supernatural powers such as freezing enemies, lightning strikes, and even changing gravity. In this game, where there will be thousands of enemies to take down, you will run into a shortage of ammo, so you will have to master the weapons you have and use them sparingly. As you roam the corridors of this once calm and peaceful Institution 3826, you are surrounded by many ugly and ugly monsters, ready to tear you to pieces if you’re not careful.

Things get even worse when it comes to wild machines. These machines are not only equipped with deadly weapons. They can also use the Collective neural network to call on their siblings and unite against you. If you want to survive, you must constantly adapt your strategy for each enemy. Brute force is enough to take down some enemies, while others may need a more sneaky approach.

There is currently no multiplayer support

Atomic Heart will not have multiplayer game modes. Atomic Heart game director Robert Bagratuni stated that the game will not have multiplayer support for the time being. However, developer Mundfish has announced that special regions dedicated to PvP may be updated in the future.
