
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced that the airports of Antalya and Trabzon broke all records during Eid al-Adha.
Recalling that only one week has passed since Antalya Airport broke its own record on June 24, 2023, serving 195,867 passengers on 1,137 flights, Minister Uraloglu said: “Our Antalya Airport is breaking record after record. Although just a week ago he broke his own record; It updated its record with 1,188 flights and 199,419 passengers on Saturday, July 1,” he said.
Minister Uraloglu, who reported that on 30 June 2023, Trabzon Airport reached its highest point with 145 aircraft and stated that the numbers are very pleasant, said: “This holiday was a holiday when records were broken. We receive money for services rendered. We will continue to increase our investments and services even more.”
Detailing the air traffic at Antalya and Trabzon airports, Minister Uraloglu said: “As of July 1, 2023, Antalya Airport handled a total of 1,188 aircraft, 168 on domestic lines and 1,020 on international lines. It broke the all-time record by reaching the highest single-day reading since opening. On the other hand, Trabzon Airport on June 30, 2023 broke its own record by serving 145 aircraft. It was a holiday when records were broken,” he said.

Declaring that the record news is not an accident and the return of investments made, Minister Uraloglu continued his speech as follows:
“This is very good news. What we have been trying to do so far is to receive such joyful and pleasant news. This is a clear indication of the investments made and the services provided. I hope that in the coming years and holidays we will break new records. Our beloved nation is worthy of all these beauties.”
Planes from 12 different countries landed in Trabzon
Noting that the Black Sea region, which has become one of the most important tourist destinations in Turkey with its streams, plateaus and rough seas, attracts a lot of attention from tourists, Minister Uraloglu said: “Our Black Sea region has become a center of attraction. with its greenery and nature. Planes of countries from Germany, Azerbaijan, UAE, Bahrain, Iraqi Kurdistan, Israel, Qatar, TRNC, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Jordan landed at the Trabzon airport. Airplanes arriving from different countries are also the most important indicator that our region has great tourism potential,” he said.
