- Here, your iPhone will provide the code we talked about in the third step. Pay attention to this.

Switching from Android to iOS: Using iCloud Drive

The Move to iOS app is technically Apple’s official way to move from Android to iPhone. However, many users may prefer only iCloud Drive instead of using this application. Unfortunately, there is no iCloud Drive app for Android. But you can access iCloud in any browser, including the Chrome browser on Android.
How to upload files to iCloud on Android?
- On your Android device, open a browser and go to iCloud.com. Sign in to your account from the iCloud login screen here.
- Tap the grid app icon in the top right corner.
- Select Disk.
- Find the “Recent” option and click on it.
- Select Browse.
- Look for the download button that looks like an up arrow and a cloud.
- Click Files.
- Find and select the files you want to download. Then click “Select”.
- Your file will be uploaded. Repeat the process until you have uploaded all your files.
When you do this, all your data will be in your iCloud Drive account and will also be synced to your iPhone. If you can’t see your files on iPhone, you may have disabled iCloud sync. Go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > iCloud Drive and turn on Sync with this iPhone.
By the way, if you have photos, you can share them during the upload process. Just open the Photos app on iCloud.com instead of iCloud Drive. At the bottom you will see a download button.
Manually transfer data from Android phone to iPhone using a computer

Some of us like to do things the old fashioned way. If you also like to take matters into your own hands, you can transfer data from Android to iPhone using a computer. The only downside is that this is done through iTunes and not all files can be added to your iPhone. But you can stream music, photos, movies, and TV shows.
How to manually transfer data from Android to iOS:
- Connect your Android phone to your computer with a USB cable.
- Then tap “File Transfer/Android Auto” under “Use USB for” in the notification tab of your Android device.
- Now you can switch to the computer.
- Open the folder on your PC and go to the “This PC” tab. Now you can access your phone’s files.
- Copy and paste whatever you want to transfer. You can also add them all to a new folder on my desktop so the files are always at hand.
- When you’re done copying your data, unplug your Android device’s USB port.
- Now connect your iPhone to your computer.
- Your iPhone will ask your computer for permission to access your files. Click Allow.
- As we mentioned above, you need to download and install iTunes.
- After installing iTunes, you will need to allow the connection between iPhone and computer.
- Go to iTunes and click the iPhone button.
- In the left column, you will see the “Settings” section. Review each section and enable sync.
- You will need to add some files, such as music, to the iTunes Media folder. For photos, you can select the folder that iTunes will sync.
- When you’re ready to sync, click Finish and then Apply. Let the iPhone sync.
This process will be quite restrictive compared to others. If you want to use your computer, you can use it with iCloud Drive. You can also sync your MacBook with iCloud Drive. This will sync your Mac with your iPhone.
Just go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud. Turn on iCloud and click Options next to iCloud Drive. Select the Desktop and Documents folders and click Finish. Then connect your Android phone to your MacBook and save the files in the synced folder.
By the way, there is also an iCloud Drive app for Windows users. After installing the app, follow the same steps as above to connect your Android phone to your Windows computer and extract the files to the synced folder.
